Door Boy has served the tri-state for over 40 years and continues to grow successfully. In 1968, Door Boy’s roots started as P&F Door and Trailer Repair. The company based itself on the trucking industry repairing tractor trailers, container doors and loading dock tools. Then in 1972, the name changed to Door Boy as we began to serve the overhead door industry in the private and commercial marketplaces. In 1982 Door Boy relocated into their current store and opened, one of the first garage door only, showroom and parts department. In 1999 Door Boy received the Joseph A Caputo Dealer of the Year award from the International Door Association located in Toronto, Canada.

Door Boy’s administration area has developed and today we serve all of New Jersey, southern New York (counting Staten Island), and Eastern Pennsylvania. We have constructed a prestigious reputation that emphasizes standing behind our work and this theory has allowed us to lead the overhead garage door industry.

IDEA is an independent educational created by three industry trade associations in 1966. The primary objective of the Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation is to improve the expertise in the garage door and access systems dealer instructive programming, accreditation and certification.

The dealer accreditation program may be the best credited endeavor of the Institute. The program is intended to distinguish between professional door dealers, who might use their credentials in promoting and publicizing exercises, and to show customers how they claim they are the industry’s best available.
